A quick reference for every button and tab in Test A Tag.
Tabs
Creative
The main input area. Paste your ad tag here — HTML5, MRAID, VAST, VAST URI, VMAP, or VMAP URI. The textarea accepts any of these formats; Test A Tag will detect the type automatically.
Preview
Renders the creative in an isolated frame. Switch to this tab after pasting your tag to see it in action. Use the repeat button ( ↺ ) in the top-right corner of the preview area to reload the creative without leaving the tab.
Stash
A local collection of saved creatives, stored in your browser. Use it to keep frequently used tags handy or to compare multiple creatives in a session. The stash holds up to 20 items.
WARNING
The stash is stored in your browser's local storage — it is device-specific and not permanent. Clearing your browser data will erase it.
Toolbar Buttons
Stash
Saves the current creative to the Stash tab.

|---|---|
| Input is empty | Shows Nothing to stash |
| Creative already in stash | Shows Already stashed – bubbling to top and moves the entry to the top |
| Stash is full (20 items) | Shows Stash is full (20 items max) |
| Success | Shows Added to Stash |
Share
Copies a shareable link to your clipboard that encodes the current creative. Anyone with the link can open Test A Tag with the same tag pre-loaded. Shows Link saved to clipboard on success.
Inline Buttons
Clear ( 🗑 )
Appears in the top-right corner of the Creative tab. Clears the textarea and resets the current input.
Repeat ( ↺ )
Appears in the top-right corner of the Preview tab. Reloads the current creative in the preview frame — useful for testing tags that have frequency caps or require a fresh ad call.
Stash Actions
Each item in the Stash has two action buttons:

| Load | Loads the stashed creative back into the Creative tab, ready to preview or edit |
| Delete | Permanently removes that entry from the stash |
You can also select multiple items using the checkboxes and remove them all at once with Delete Selected.
Renaming a Stash entry
Click directly on the name of any stash entry to edit it inline. Press Enter to save or Escape to cancel.
Sorting
Click any column header — Name, Type, or Date — to sort the list. Click again to reverse the order.
